Baby Vienne | Tacoma Newborn Film

Happy 2014!! What an appropriate way to start out the new year with baby Vienne!

This was my first newborn family session done with film…and I’m in love. Every session I do now I think to myself…”how dreamy would this look on a roll of film?” I know many people prefer digital because you can take a million images, hoping that one or two turn out alright (and you get instant gratification). Shooting film is slow, methodical and intentional. We live in such a culture of excess, that many clients now believe that the more images the better. I don’ t have that luxury with film ~ each frame I have the chance to tell a story. My hope is to do it right the first time.

One last note…recently I did a side by side comparison of the prints (film vs. digital) and let me tell you ~ FILM DESERVES TO BE PRINTED! The images were so much clearer, true to color. Don’t let your photos sit on your computer screen. I promise you…they look SO much better on your wall.
