On November 28, 2012 I got the call that my uncle had passed away. You can read the story here. There has always been a long history of heart problems on my moms side…but we never expected it to hit Uncle Dan. Since that time my mom has been handling his estate which included a house in Sun Valley, Idaho. Its a long trek for us to go, but its where Shaun and I spent our honeymoon. And its the last of Uncle Dan’s estate.
The whole week we were there I was battling Taylor, but during the quiet moments the sun would filter through the large picture windows and into the living room. It was later spring when we went, and the yard was just starting to bloom, the birds were nesting and talkative and the thunderstorms passed through every afternoon. I can see why my uncle loved it there.
This is sort of a long post, and many appologies for that. As I spent the week with my parents, in this house, I started to see these little moments of peace. And I just couldn’t help myself…I needed to just soak it in (and bring it home with me).
