PHOTO JOURNAL
Most treasured moments are never captured by the camera or posted to social media platforms. They are often kept private and cherished collectively by the people experiencing the love. This journal is a small peek into a few treasured moments that I have been lucky enough to capture. It’s an amazing gift to share little bits and pieces of their hearts with you and an honor to have photographed them. I hope you take the time to explore this body of work and find inspiration of your own.

Will and Emily's Winter Engagement Session along the Tacoma Waterfront
While spring sessions in Tacoma are undeniably beautiful, there’s a quiet magic that comes with photographing families on overcast days—especially along the Tacoma Waterfront. Soft light, muted tones, and weathered textures create images that feel grounded, intimate, and timeless. These sessions invite a slower pace and allow connection and emotion to take center stage, free from distraction or pressure. For those who truly love the Pacific Northwest as it is—gray skies and all—this style of session feels deeply honest and at home.
Stevens Family | Foggy Winter Session along the Tacoma Waterfront
Occasionally, sessions in the Pacific Northwest can be affected by fog or smoke, causing some client concerns about the impact on their photography. Despite potential weather challenges, I love to embrace the unique, soft, diffused look created by the conditions, especially when the sun illuminates clients in a dreamy way above low clouds. In the case of the Stevens family's Thanksgiving session, they braved the cold weather, resulting in a picturesque and memorable experience along the Tacoma Waterfront.
Hickok Family | Dickman Mill Park Tacoma Waterfront Family Session
Photographing my dear friend and Peyton's teacher from Busy Bee’s Preschool in Tacoma was an absolute honor. Over the last four years, her family has become special to ours, offering support during COVID, assisting in creating my new website, and hiring me for preschool photos. Our lives have intertwined in various ways, and meeting at Dickman Mills park along the Tacoma waterfront for a photoshoot during a beautiful August sunset captured the essence of our connection amidst the stunning Puget Sound backdrop.
